Welding Applications

The main welding principle in laser plastic welding is "transmission welding". The laser light (wavelength 800-1950 nm) penetrates the upper part of the joint and is absorbed in the lower part to a depth of 0.1-0.5 mm, where the laser radiation is converted into heat.
